How To Make Your Own Nail Stickers

I've always loved nail art and nail design and things like that so I wanted to do a tutorial on it because I haven't done a tutorial in a long time. 


You will need:
-tweezers
-nail polish
- a plastic bag

1. On the plastic bag, make a heart. Make sure the size of the heart is equal to the size of the nail. The heart should be able to fit onto the nail. 

2. Let the hearts dry for about a day.

3. Take your tweezers and gently lift the heart off the plastic bag.

The above picture is what happens if you don't seal it with a top coat.

The green heart is really messed up and my finger nails look disgusting.

How To Make A Floral Foam Pendant

Pin It The other day, I was searching through all my stuff and cleaning it out when I cam across these little foam circles. I guess I used them when I was really little as counters and stuff.


You will need:
-foam circles (can be found in the dollar store.)
- scrapbook paper/ magazines
-necklace chain
-glue
-scissors

1. Find a pretty pattern from scrapbook paper, a magazine or anything!

2.Take your foam disk and trace around the inside hole of the disk.

3. Cut out the circle and the inside hole.

4. Check to make sure everything matches up before glueing. 

5. Once it is glued down securely, you want to cut around the circle again to get rid of the extra pieces.

Tada!

You should try experimenting with different pieces of paper and maybe some paint.


6. Slip onto necklace chain and wear!

Canvas Crayon Art

K, so I've seen these all over Youtube and Tumblr and Pinterest so I really wanted to try to make one for myself.

Blow-dryer- I used a hot pink Conair blow-dryer.
Crayons- Crayola crayons.
Canvas: I got the canvas from Dollarama (if you are Canadian). $1 for 2 canvas!
Glue gun: Just a regular glue gun.

I originally found a box of crayons that I used when I was a kid so I knew I wanted to do something with it. I think that adding used crayons makes it a lot more special.
1. Arrange your crayons in whatever order looks good to you.

I added a couple more different types of crayons because I didn't have enough plain crayons to fill the canvas with.

2. Now you want to glue the crayon down onto your canvas. I tried to get the colour caption facing up. I had a couple of crayons that I had used and the colour caption was gone so I just rolled it over to the Crayola logo. Look above this picture and you"ll see what I mean by a colour caption.

K, for crayons like this that have no wrapper, you can either glue the spot where the crayon will go on the canvas and press the crayon down or you can glue directly onto the crayon. 

Now, if you choose to glue down onto the crayon first, you will get a big glob on your gluegun. I recommend you making a line onto your canvas first.

3. After you finish glueing the crayons on and the glue has tried, tip your canvas up to see if any crayons are loose. If none are loose, get on the gluegun strings off before heading to the next step. 

4. Take your blow dryer and adjust the settings until you see the crayons start to get wet.

The wax will start getting shiny and then the wax will drip. When the wax drips, you want to tilt your canvas so it is standing upright and the wax can flow down. I recommend putting a piece of newspaper underneath because it will splash.

You have to move your blow dryer to distribute the heat onto different crayons.

This is generally what it looks like when it's done. Pretty, huh?

an interesting experiment

Sorry, I haven't been updating because,I haven't had time and I feel bad. Anyways, I had been doing a little experiment last night and I thought you guys might be interested.

I used these materials in case you guys wanted to see.

DIY Paper Friendship Necklaces

I'm going to apologize in advance for the crappy pictures. I already tried to edit the lighting and it still looks crappy but I think I'll update it with fresh, better looking pictures.

Glue: I use Elmers Glue sticks. I think they are the best type of glue stick that you can get.
Paper: I used construction paper for this project. Just plain white construction paper.  
Puzzle pieces: These can be any size that you want them to be. 

1. First, fold your paper in half and glue it down so there are two layers already. Then trace out your puzzle piece.

The Rant Challenge: The Cinnamon Challenge

I haven't really written a Rant Challenge in a really long time so I just want to talk about it. { I know that the title sounds awkward.}


The Cinnamon Challenge

Usually, something like this happens.

 According to the internet, the Cinnamon Challenge is a dare for you to swallow a teaspoon { tablespoon?} of cinnamon.  Personally this sounds dangerous and scary and weird and they say it's impossible. I have tried this before and it's very...interesting. I only tried a little bit { a quarter of the spoon} and I did swallow it. However, I have never tried to do the whole spoon.

 My favourite is this one. She thought she could handle it and she didn't. I do feel bad because she was doing this little dance to try and get to the water.

Water Marble Nail Polish Tutorial

In case some of you don't know, I love nail art and nailpolish. I'm been obssessed with it for a long time but it's only recently that I got into nailart.

 You will need:

1. {Sorry for the crappy picture! } Anyways, do a base coat and when it dries, cover the rest of your finger in Vaseline. Not the whole finger but just the area around the nail. This will make it easier to take the extra nail polish off.

 2. Take a pan of water and drop drops of nail polish into it. Alternate between colours. 
{This step has to be done fast.}

3. After you have finished the last step, swirl the colours with a toothpick quickly.

4. Dip the finger that has the Vaseline on it into the nailpolish. The nail part should be touching.

6. It will come out like this.  Use a q-tip to rub off any extra nail polish. After, use some nailpolish remover to clean it off.

DIY Hairband Bows

If you haven't seen how to make these little bows, click here to learn how.

In my last post, I said I didn't have enough gluegun glue to glue the bows onto the hairband. Whoa, how many times did I say glue in that sentence? Anyways, that is the finished product. 

 This was the original hairband that I had made but the girl I was making it for wanted purple in it so I just started from scratch. For this hairband, I took skinny pieces of ribbon and tied them around the hairband into a bow. Easy.

 I just glued the bows on top of each other to make one giant bow. Kinda.   

Tada! A bow pyramid! It's cute, oui? 

  There is the finished hairband! It looks super cute so go and make your own! Hurry!

Handmade Bows (Hairbands)

This post was originally supposed to be about making hairbands but my glue gun didn't have enough glue to glue the bow on the hairband. Anyways,here it is.

You will need:

- a headband (you don't if you only want to know how to make the headband.)

- ribbon

-gluegun

1. Cut a piece of ribbon out, however long you want it to be. Cut a bigger piece if you want a bigger bow.

Just realized a piece of hair was there. Yuck!

2. Fold your ribbon in half, then open it up and take one end of the ribbon and join it in the middle. Repeat on the other side. Glue-gun it down.

3.  After you have folded both pieces in, cut a small piece of ribbon to wrap around the middle of the bow. Wrap it around and glue it down securely.

4. This is how your bow should look now if you have done it right. You can make smaller or bigger pieces to stack upon each other or you can just leave it.
